Indian mythology
Our Indian Mythology is an old culture – with lot of value systems that has continued since time immemorial . One such thing is worshiping goddess lakshmi and praying her for prosperity and growth . Thus from childhood the concept of money management is deep rooted in our culture . We as Indians are made aware of it through prayers and rituals .
Money management is one of the biggest tricks of prospering in life . I learnt this art from my very prudent parents and grandparents . They did small savings in our name when we were growing up and that helped me in learning the importance of a single penny . Money saved is money earned was the mantra which got deep rooted in my psychology and though i have been working and earning salary to this day i feel money is sacrosanct and should not be wasted unnecessarily.
Apart from small savings the concept of money management is an art , it is to be taught as well as learnt . From very early in our childhood we were given pocket money and a”gullak” to save . We judiciously spent our money but saved enough to meet our few requirements . This habit is still so deep rooted in my working that first i save and then think of spending . This money discipline has helped me a long way and saved me from any trouble .
Our goddess comes on an owl an animal which can see even in dark and can hear ultrasound
Waves . Thus a person with a judicious understanding of money should be able to see through darkness and hear perceivable sound . , can live among dirt and materialism but thrive like a lotus and in the house of such a person prosperity and wealth thrives .
It is not important how much we earn or how big is our inheritance but what is important is that how well is money used and preserved .
Money management is one of the biggest life skills to be taught to children at a very young age .
