These three are definitely words why synonym with each other . There is a border line difference among them but behavioral they speak a lot .

Confidence is when we are aware of our strengths and weaknesses , sure of our goals and dreams and well aware of the strategies to be followed . We are focused on our end destination without getting perturbed along the way . In such a situation we do not get disturbed by failures and hardships but find out ways to conquer them . No amount of flattery could goad us about our strength for we are sure of our strength and strong points .

Overconfident person is one who is well aware of dreams but over sure of his positive attributes and is not able to accept defeat . For such a person only feels that success is his and failure is someone ‘s making . He is not ready to take in negative criticism and work on improvements. Such a person is bound to falter at many occasions and with a negative learning attitude not in a position to make amendments .

A proud person is one who feels that never in history was born a person as genius as him . His successes initially add fuel to fire and he is not ready to accept defeat at all .

Further he creates many enemies with his stubborn attitude . Initially he might appear successful but in long run his enemies will bow him down .
