Today i am not going to speak about the healing power of prayer or the spiritual status assigned to it .

I will be focusing on what prayer means to me – what is prayer .Prayer is the most scientific way of engineering one’s thoughts gathering the inner energy level connecting it to the levels around and being one with the cosmic world .Our inner energy level which we ordinarily call will power or strong desire to achieve something gets strengthened when we calmly sit and learn to hear the peace around . Here i have mentioned hearing of peace and not feeling at peace . This is a purpose full connotation as peace is spiritual and the cosmic world celebrates silence . The noise around is man-made .

The silence is perpetual and is transcending all around . This silence has to enter our soul and get reflected in our personality , in our work and in our deeds . The more connected we get to the cosmic world , our assimilation with the real world decreases and we slowly get in peace with ourselves . This is our first step to discovering our inner worth .

There is a small god in all of us and this needs to be explored and it is only possible when we are in a state of deep prayer .

This prayer could be in the form of recitation of mantras or some written prayer or reading some spiritual text , some charity or simple closing of eyes and meditating.

As time proceeds on our spiritual journey we will realize we require no formal prayer . Only closing our eyes we will melt into the sublime and begin to start realizing our inner self . We will find the secret to unlocking all energies lie within us . We have become small gods and we can do anything .

For this we have to withdraw from the outer world and learn to be in our company – the company of eternal cosmic thread binding all of us together .This is the real essence of prayer of giving in to the higher self and lowering the ego within to feel the presence of super energy which is termed in religious parlance as GOD
